DANKO x TerraSurf
TerraSurf has commissioned contemporary artist DANKO (Jimmy Danko) to bring his sculptural, bold-graphic style to the canvas of a working surfboard. The collaboration rests on a shared belief: a surfboard can be as considered and enduring as anything hung on a gallery wall.
DANKO artwork is available on any board shape, hand-finished to order. Each board is built on a sustainable agave core, shaped by a named Pacific Northwest shaper, and finished with plant-based art.

About the Artist
Jimmy Danko, known as DANKO, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is a contemporary fine artist whose practice explores “play” at the intersection of realism and abstraction. His sculptural, multidimensional paintings, made of oil on wood, metal, and paint, draw on the ephemera of American life and the graphic language of branding.
DANKO exhibits frequently at the SAM Gallery in the Seattle Art Museum, most recently with a show timed to coincide with the World Cup. He has collaborated frequently with brands including Lexus and Converse, and now TerraSurf. His work has appeared in collections worldwide and in well-known publications including Forbes. He splits his time between the Seattle area and Los Angeles.
